In short
Senior Choice Care is a free referral and information service for families deciding on care for an older parent or spouse. We are paid by the communities and agencies in our network when they serve a family we introduce. You never pay us, and no one here will push you toward a place that isn't right.
What we actually do
Most people call us before they know what they need. Maybe Dad had a fall. Maybe Mom is fine but the house isn't. Maybe you live four states away and the phone calls have started to worry you. That's the normal way this begins.
What we do is narrow the field. We ask what you've noticed, what your parent wants, and what you're afraid of. Then we tell you which kinds of care fit, what they cost where your parent lives, what Medicare will and won't cover, and which two or three communities or agencies are worth your time. If the honest answer is "you don't need to move yet," we'll say that too.
You tell us what's going on
As much or as little as you want. We've heard it all before, and nothing surprises us.
We lay out the real options
What's near them, what it costs, what public programs might help, and what the trade-offs are.
You decide what happens next
If you want introductions, we make them. If you'd rather think about it, that's fine. Nobody calls your parent unless you ask.
How we're paid, and why it costs you nothing
The communities, home care agencies, and care advisors in our network pay us a referral fee when they take on a family we introduce. That is the whole business model. It means you can call us, ask us anything, and never get a bill. It also means you should know the one thing that matters: our fee is the reason we can offer this for free, but it does not change the price a community quotes you. You pay the same as if you had walked in off the street.
What we are not
- We are not a care provider. We don't send aides, we don't run a community, and we don't employ nurses or caregivers.
- We are not doctors, lawyers, or financial advisors. Nothing here is medical, legal, tax, or financial advice. For those, you need a clinician, an elder law attorney, or a licensed advisor.
- We are not the government. Medicare, Medicaid, and veterans benefits are run by agencies; we explain how they work and point you to the right office, but we don't decide eligibility.
How we choose who we introduce
Every community and agency we work with has to be licensed by its state, carry insurance, and pass our review of its public inspection and complaint records. If a place has a pattern of serious problems in state records, it isn't on our list, no matter what it would pay us. We tell you what we find, including the parts that aren't flattering.
But we want to be straight with you about the limit of that: we are a starting point, not a substitute for your own eyes. Visit. Ask for the state inspection report. Ask what happens when a resident's needs increase. The best decisions are made by families who look for themselves, and we'll help you know what to look for.
Who we are, plainly
SeniorChoiceCare.com is run by IMLeverage, LLC, at 15621 West 87th St. Pkwy, Lenexa, KS 66219. You can reach us at [email protected]. We built this site because the search for care for a parent is one of the hardest, loneliest jobs there is, and it usually lands on one person in the family with no training and no time.
Talk to someone who does this all day
Ten minutes on the phone is usually enough to make the whole thing feel smaller. There's no obligation and no sales pitch.
Questions people ask about us
Is this really free? What's the catch?
It's free, and there's no catch, but there is a business model worth understanding: we're paid by the communities and agencies in our network when they serve a family we introduce. You are never charged. The trade-off for you is that we only introduce partners we work with, not every option that exists — so it's still worth doing your own looking around.
Will you call my mother?
Not unless you ask us to. Most of the people who contact us haven't told their parent they're looking yet. That's normal. We'll help you plan how and when to raise it, and we'll stay in your corner either way.
Do you work in my parent's state?
We help families across the country and have the deepest community coverage in the areas covered by this site. If we don't have partners near your parent, we'll say so and point you to the Eldercare Locator, 1-800-677-1116, which connects you to the Area Agency on Aging for any ZIP code.
How are your partners checked?
Each one must be licensed by its state, carry insurance, and clear our review of its public inspection and complaint records. We don't claim to inspect every community ourselves; we read what the state publishes and we share it with you so you can look too.
Does talking to you commit me to anything?
No. You can call, ask your questions, take what's useful, and never speak to us again. If we make an introduction, you choose whether to call that partner back.
